Getting Started...

All artists attending our show are REQUIRED to obtain a tattoo license from the State of Hawaii. The Department of Health will only accepts a valid Hawaii tattoo license. Your license from whatever country or state you are from is NOT VALID or accepted here. There are no exceptions. We would hate for you to show up excited to work only to be told that you can't tattoo. Please, do not skip any step in the process. Follow instructions and you will be fine. Contact Us if you are unsure of anything.

Note:

All Hawaii tattoo licenses expired as of Dec 31, 2018. This means you need a new license & health form.

All Tattoo license applications are to be applied as NEW.

Continue to other tabs to find everything needed to tattoo at our show.

Getting Licensed...

STEP 1: The Online BBP Test

The State of Hawaii has 7 approved companies that can issue your license through an online Blood Borne Pathogens test. The test can be taken at your own pace, and if you fail you are allowed to take it again for free. We highly recommend using ICE TRAINING (listed below). Jeff Godin, the owner works with us to ensure that everything on our end matches his so that you have a painless and relatively easy process. The other companies are still valid but you are on your own if you choose anyone but ICE. Below are the list of the approved companies.

    • ICE TRAINING INSTITUTE (recommended) - TAKE NOW
  • NEW LICENSE + BBP - Deadline July 6th, 2019, nothing will be accepted after this date

    LICENSE NO BBP - You have an approved BBP and only need the state license

    CHECK STATUS - Use this link to see if you are on our licensed list. If you do not see your name on this list, do not panic. Contact the Hawaii Department of Health to check your status.

  •
  • Other Companies:
    • Above Training
    • Biologix Solutions
    • Body Art Training Group
    • Compliance Training Online
    • Cathy Montie Body Art Training Company
    • Pacific Medical Training
    • ProTrainings

Note: Upon completion, your new license will be good until December 31st, 2020

STEP 2: The Health Form

All artists are required to complete a Tuberculosis & Syphilis test also know as the "Health Form". Both your BBP and your health form go hand in hand. You must complete both or you will not be approved for an official license. Plan ahead with your health form! PRINT IT OUT and go to a Dr, Clinic or any other health practitioner who can administer the test and sign off on the paper. The results in America often take 1-2 weeks. In foreign countries these tests may take longer. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO GET TESTED! When complete Send to Jeff from Ice Training

* * * ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 7/06/19 AT THE ABSOLUTE LATEST * * *
* * * ANYTHING SUBMITTED AFTER 7/06/19 WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED * * *

STEP 3: Completion & Confirmation

Once your BBP test has been completed and your health form signed off on. You will be working exclusively with Jeff Godin from Ice Training (if you used him for your BBP) He will ensure that your documents are sent into the Health Department for approval prior to our show. He will align with our coordinator to ensure that nothing falls through the cracks. Your Hawaii License, if not mailed early, will be available at our show. You will be able to check whether or not you are licensed RIGHT HERE. If your name is not on that list, you are not yet licensed. This could be for several reasons. 1. DOH has not yet processed your docs 2. Something is missing 3. DOH has not yet received the docs from Ice Training. If you have any questions you can Contact Jeff regarding your application.

Do It Yourself Licensing

If you choose to go through the licensing process on your own, there are a few things you should know. 1. We are not responsible for anything that happens during your application process. 2. You will save a little money doing so, but it will be a little more labor intensive. 3. We can only guide you to the steps via the link below. 4. You will need to follow the same steps and make sure that all your docs are sent into the DOH. Should you have any questions, the contact info for DOH is below.

Vendor Registration

Vendors fall into the category of "non tattooing or piercing". This means there are far less steps you'll need to do in order to attend our show. A typical vendor at our show consists of clothing brands, local snacks, CBD product lines, medical professionals, massage therapists, art suppliers, painters and more.

All vendors, like our artists are required to register with us prior to the show. Purchasing your booth will secure your spot in our show and shortly after you will be contacted by our coordinator. In the mean time, here are the documents you will need for rules and regulations as well as forms you must fill out to participate at our show.

We have upgraded our systems to Docusign. Now, all you need to do is click the button below, use your finger or mouse to initial and sign and we will receive a PDF of your docs.
