Featured Artist: Freddy Negrete

Freddy Negrete is the pioneer of fine-line black-and-gray tattooing. His journey in becoming a tattoo artist started at a young age. His upbringing on the streets has led him to meet significant individuals who influenced him and taught him the techniques of prison-style tattooing, much of what he is known for. He has tattooed everyone from inmates to A-listers. Negrete has worked alongside tattoo legends like Jack Rudy and Ed Hardy. He has worked on feature films and recently published his book, “Smile Now, Cry Later: Guns, Gangs, and Tattoos. My Life in Black and Gray.”
