All artists attending the Expo are REQUIRED to obtain a tattoo license from the State of Hawaii - Even if you have a license in another state, you still need to get a new one for Hawaii. There are no exception as this is our state law.
Along with the steps you will need to take to ensure you are licensed in our state, we (PIAE) will also need to register you so we know who you are when you walk into the office. These also include our rules and regulations:
Hawaii requires all artists to also take an approved Blood-borne Pathogens course. If your certification isn't through one of the companies listed below, you need to take it again. We highly recommend using ICE TRAINING since we work alongside Jeff Godin, the owner to ensure that everything on our end matches his. Below are the list of approved Hawaii licensee companies.
ICE Training Institute
Body Art Training Group
Compliance Training Online
Cathy Montie Body Art Training Company
Pacific Medical Training
Note: If you were not issued a license in 2017 or 2018, you are expired and will need to get a new one.

If you wish to handle everything on your own you can go here: http://health.hawaii.gov/san/tattoo-lists/ and through the items one by one. If you choose ICE they will help organize and facilitate your package to the health department for a small fee. If you have any health department questions, please call below:
