Heather is a digital artist specialized in blending brushstroke and ink scroll techniques with local Hawaiian imagery. Heather’s works carry an undercurrent of fragility, uncertainty, and quiet resilience rather than casting paradise in hyper joyful and stereotypical angles. By embracing both the sides of the human experience, Heather challenges the idea that happiness is about constant positivity—instead, she reveals that true contentment comes from accepting life as it is, in all its imperfections.

A scientist by training, Heather never planned to pursue art. Raised in a culture shunning “softness” for “success”, it took a sudden medical diagnosis in young adulthood, followed by years of intensive treatment to force her to slow down and reevaluate what truly mattered. Given a second chance, she now uses her art to reflect the delicate balance between gratitude and struggle, reminding us that joy and darkness are not opposites—they shape and define each other.
